I was able to take the afternoon off today and go flying. This turned out to be a good call.. I flew for four hours and was able to do 170KM distance on the OLC . Not bad for March in Southern Ontario :)

I was able to fly SZ on Mar 15. The field was still frozen enough to fly from, so i decided to put the instruments in and go flying before visiting family in Hamilton later in the day. There was some strong turbulent lift in the blue but also strong sink. Being limited in time i finally took the opportunity to practice some spins in the 55, lots of fun! Link to the IGC trace below
Sosa's 2 new K21's get assembled for the first time. After the import inspection we even managed a few flights from the frozen runways.

After getting the trailer tongue welded it was time to go flying again.. The day was blue with good lift. The southernly wind brought the cold lake Erie air inland and killed off lift south of Oshweeken. After i made the Heagersvile turn point i could not make it back north and had to land in a field.
